Egypt & Bahrain Discuss Ways to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly extended a warm welcome to Fawzia Abdullah Zainal, the newly appointed Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League. This appointment marks a new chapter in the longstanding diplomatic relations between Cairo and Manama, which span over half a century.

In his meeting with Ambassador Zainal, Madbouly expressed his best wishes for her success in what he referred to as her "second home," Egypt. He emphasized the strong and enduring ties between the two nations, highlighting Egypt's eagerness to further enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sector, to create promising investment opportunities for both countries.

The Prime Minister underscored the significant support the bilateral relations receive from both President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. He urged for a continuation of collaborative efforts to expand the scope of cooperation. Madbouly also requested Ambassador Zainal to convey his regards to Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.

Ambassador Zainal expressed her appreciation for the meeting, which comes at the start of her tenure in Cairo. She relayed the greetings of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Prime Minister Madbouly. Zainal highlighted the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination on various fronts, reflecting the close relations between the leaderships of the two countries. She praised the evolving and fruitful partnership between Bahrain and Egypt and expressed her eagerness to activate the joint committee between the two countries to further foster their bilateral relations.
