Egypt expressed support for measures taken by Bahrain to safeguard its security, sovereignty and stability, according to a statement recently issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Cairo stands behind Bahrain in steps aimed at countering attempts to undermine the kingdom’s security or intimidate its citizens and residents.
Egypt also reiterated its firm rejection of any external interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
"Cairo reaffirmed its long-standing position that the security and stability of Bahrain and other Gulf states are an integral part of Egyptian national security," the statement read.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and growing security concerns across the Gulf region, prompting closer coordination among Arab states on issues related to regional stability and sovereignty.
