Egypt joined 15 Arab and Muslim countries, along with the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in condemning the Israeli Knesset’s approval of two draft laws aimed at imposing “Israeli sovereignty” over the occupied West Bank and settlements.
In a joint statement, the countries described the move as a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, reaffirming that Israel has no sovereignty over Palestinian territories.
They welcomed the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion issued on Oct. 22, 2025, which reaffirmed Israel’s obligations to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza and prohibited the use of starvation, forced displacement, and annexation as tools of occupation.
