Late Tuesday, Egypt announced its intention to present a comprehensive plan for rebuilding Gaza, aimed at ensuring that the Palestinian people remain on their land.

In a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed its hope to collaborate with the U.S. administration under President Donald Trump to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region.

The statement emphasized that any peace agreement must be based on a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue, respecting the rights of all regional populations.

Egypt underscored that its reconstruction plan would safeguard the legitimate legal rights of the Palestinian people, ensuring they remain on their land. The statement also made clear Egypt's firm opposition to any proposals that might lead to the displacement or resettlement of Palestinians elsewhere.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed that any vision for resolving the Palestinian issue should preserve the region's peace achievements while addressing the root causes of the conflict.

It called for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and implementing the two-state solution as the only path to stability and coexistence in the region.

Before the statement’s release, Cairo News Channel reported, citing Egyptian sources, that Egypt firmly rejects any suggestion to allocate land for Gaza's population. This was seen as a response to President Trump's earlier proposal, which hinted at relocating Palestinians and “taking control of Gaza.”

On Tuesday, Trump suggested that land could be made available in Jordan, Egypt, and other places to resettle Palestinians. While he had previously hinted at withholding aid from these countries, he clarified that he would not use this as leverage.

These developments come amid heightened tensions over Gaza's future and ongoing U.S. efforts to propose new solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
