Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Meguid Saqr met with Angolan National Defense Minister and Veterans, General João Ernesto dos Santos, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.
A formal reception was held at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, where military bands played the national anthems of both countries.
The meeting addressed the latest developments on regional and international fronts and their impact on security and stability within the African continent amid current challenges. Discussions also included expanding military cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
The Commander-in-Chief expressed his pride in the strong ties between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their African counterparts, praising the joint cooperation in all military fields.
For his part, the Angolan Minister of National Defense and Veterans commended the deep bonds and relationships between the two friendly nations and praised Egypt's efforts in supporting African issues.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides signed a cooperation agreement in defense and military technologies to strengthen military relations between the two countries.
The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of senior Egyptian and Angolan military officials.
