Egypt, Angola FMs Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Ties, Regional Stability

​On Monday, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, met with Tete António, Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Angola, on the sidelines of the Korea-Africa Ministerial Meeting.

The discussion focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations and consult on several regional and international issues.

​Abdelatty expressed pride in the remarkable development of Egyptian-Angolan relations across various levels, praising the existing coordination between both countries in regional and international forums.

He also voiced anticipation for continuing to build upon the outcomes of the Joint Committee between the two nations, aiming to boost cooperation in economic, trade, and investment sectors to serve the mutual interests of both friendly peoples.

Additionally, FM reviewed the ongoing preparations for Egypt to host the first edition of the "Alamein-Africa" Business Forum this month, on the sidelines of the African Union Mid-Year Coordination Summit.

​The two ministers also exchanged views on a number of African issues.

Moreover, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's support for efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the African continent, including endeavors to settle the situation in the Great Lakes region.

Concluding the meeting, both ministers agreed to maintain coordination and consultation to help support security, stability, and sustainable development across Africa.
