Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call on Tuesday with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

The call came within the framework of continued consultation and coordination between Egypt and the UAE regarding current regional developments.

The discussion reflected the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to maintaining close coordination on issues of common concern.

The two ministers reviewed developments in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.

Abdelatty stressed the importance of working to restore trust between regional parties and addressing the security concerns of countries in the region, particularly Gulf states.

He also underlined the need to ensure that recent attacks against Gulf countries are not repeated, through clear arrangements that help rebuild confidence and support regional security.

The two ministers agreed on the importance of continuing coordination to confront current regional challenges and support efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability and development in the region.
