Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday to discuss rapidly evolving regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts related to the US-Iran negotiations.
The talks came within the framework of continued close coordination between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates on regional issues and security challenges facing the Middle East.
During the call, the two ministers praised the deep brotherly ties and strong bilateral relations between the two countries. They also reviewed developments surrounding negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of prioritising diplomacy and negotiations as the only viable path for resolving outstanding disputes and preventing a wider regional conflict. He expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to an agreement capable of ending the war and paving the way for the restoration of regional peace and stability.
