Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed their support for a Yemeni–Yemeni dialogue hosted in Riyadh, stressing the importance of political solutions in addressing regional crises. The position was emphasized during talks in Cairo between Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman.

The meeting took place within the framework of ongoing consultation and close coordination between the two countries. The ministers reviewed bilateral relations and existing cooperation programs across multiple sectors, while discussing ways to expand economic and investment partnerships to serve mutual interests.

On regional and political issues, both sides said their views remain closely aligned on the need to promote security and stability through adherence to international law, dialogue, and peaceful means. They underlined the importance of encouraging reconciliation among regional parties in a manner that safeguards state sovereignty, national unity, and security, including efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in Yemen through inclusive dialogue.

The talks also reaffirmed Egypt’s and Oman’s consistent support for the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to freedom, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders of June 4, 1967. Both ministers stressed the need to lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories to allow the immediate entry of humanitarian and relief assistance, support reconstruction efforts, and restore normal life for civilians.
