Egypt and Morocco have signed a series of agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, in a move that underscores growing cooperation between the two countries across multiple sectors.
The signing ceremony was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch at the conclusion of the first session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee, held in Cairo.
Several key agreements were finalized during the event, covering industrial cooperation, investment, customs coordination, culture, youth, sports, and environmental collaboration. The deals are designed to deepen economic ties and expand joint initiatives between the two nations.
Among the أبرز agreements was a protocol on industrial cooperation, alongside a memorandum to boost bilateral investment relations between Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Morocco’s investment and export development agency. The two sides also signed agreements to avoid double taxation and combat tax evasion, in addition to a customs cooperation framework aimed at facilitating trade flows.
Further agreements included cooperation in sports and youth development, as well as cultural collaboration through a memorandum of understanding and an executive program to enhance cultural exchange. Environmental cooperation was also addressed through a memorandum focused on combating desertification.
