The Egyptian-Indian joint military exercise “Cyclone-4” has concluded after several days of intensive training involving special forces units from both countries, highlighting continued efforts to strengthen defense cooperation and exchange operational expertise.

The drills brought together elements of Egypt’s Sa'ka Forces and Indian special forces at combat training facilities in Egypt, attended by senior military officials and the Indian military attaché in Cairo. The exercise included a range of theoretical and practical sessions aimed at aligning operational concepts and improving coordination between participating units.

The program also featured a display of weapons and equipment, along with specialized training on handling improvised explosive devices, underscoring the importance of readiness in counterterrorism operations.

In the final phase, forces carried out a simulated assault on a terrorist stronghold within a residential area using helicopters. The operation included hostage rescue, neutralizing hostile elements, delivering first aid, and evacuating the injured. Additional non-traditional live-fire drills demonstrated a high level of accuracy and skill in engaging targets under various conditions.

Officials said the exercise reflected the advanced capabilities and professionalism of the participating forces, as well as their ability to execute complex missions with efficiency.

The joint training comes as part of Egypt’s broader strategy to enhance military cooperation with partner nations and benefit from shared experiences in addressing common security challenges.
