Tarek El Molla, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mohamed Arkab, the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of gas, petroleum and mines.
The MoU enhancing cooperation in the marketing of petroleum products, especially butane, identifying opportunities for cooperation in the field of research, exploration and production of gas and petroleum, and cooperating in studying the establishment of a joint venture, according to a press release.
The memorandum also included discussing cooperation in converting cars to work with natural gas, exchanging information and experiences in the field of national strategies to develop the hydrogen sector in the two countries, as well as the field of research and development (R&D).
