EgyptAir Resumes Int’l flights, Offers discounts to Europe, USA

In light of the implementing the plan set by the Egyptian government for the resumption of air traffic to/from the Egyptian airports starting July 1st, 2020, EGYPTAIR operated its first 14 regular international flights that carry about 2000 passengers from Cairo International Airport.

Passengers were received this morning by Capt. Roshdy Zakaria, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding, Capt. Amr Abu El-Eneen, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR and a group of civil aviation leaders.

"In the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation in coordination with the Ministry of Health, civil aviation organizations and all concerned parties, we are pleased today to receive our customers at all external and internal stations to which we have started today to operate our flights,” said Capt. Zakaria.

“We have put into consideration all preventive measures to reduce the spread of Coronavirus from the moment the passengers enter the airport and on board until they reach their favorite destinations.”

Zakaria wished this virus to disappear, so that travel movement and operation schedules to return to normal as soon as possible and passengers to enjoy travel experiences again as air travel remains the best way in the world in terms of safety and security rates.

EGYPTAIR employees were keen to receive travelers at the airport by playing national music and singing songs to welcome passengers and express their happiness for resuming air traffic again.

Capt. Zakaria and Capt. Abu El-Eneen also gave two free tickets on any of Egyptair’s international flights to two passengers whose birthdays are on July 1st.

On the other hand, Capt. Abu El-Eneen, emphasized the importance of following all the preventive guidelines for travellers that were announced during the last period to enjoy a safe trip.

It is preferable to use all electronic means of reservation and finishing travel procedures, whether through the website, the call center ‘1717’ or the applications that the company provides on mobile and other devices in order to save time and effort and ensure the prevention of any diseases.

He also announced that the company offers a 20% discount on tickets to many European destinations, New York and Washington to be purchased until July 15th and travel until August 31st
