Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has outlined Egypt's ambition to become a key manufacturing hub for European industries.
During a meeting with executives from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Demi Company in Brussels, Abdelatty emphasized the need for closer collaboration between Egyptian and European ports to enhance trade and investment.
He encouraged the companies to increase their investments in Egypt, highlighting the government's efforts to create a more business-friendly environment and empower the private sector.
The Minister specifically emphasized opportunities in renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen production and export, encouraging Belgian companies to participate in these sectors.
The Egyptian government is actively pursuing the development of a green hydrogen production and export facility at the Gargoub seaport, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
