Today, Saturday, Egypt confirmed its commitment to continuing to build and strengthen the international human rights system.

The ministry stressed the need to cooperate and make every effort to fulfill the principles and values stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on the anniversary of its adoption by the United Nations.

According to the foreign ministry, Egypt is moving steadily on the path of construction and development to provide a decent life for its people, within the framework of the national action process that aims to build the Egyptian person and develop his capabilities in line with national and constitutional entitlements.

The ministry pointed out that what the Egyptian state has achieved in terms of protecting and promoting human rights is part of a comprehensive building process, based on higher principles and values that also guarantee the realization of the right to development and the fair enjoyment of its revenues, by mobilizing national energies in all fields, strengthening good democratic governance, and combating Corruption, the consolidation of national identity, and the rejection of intolerance and extremist ideas.

Egypt "remains open to dialogue, desiring closer cooperation with all partners, based on shared ownership of the principles of human rights and fundamental freedoms,” the ministry added.
