Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Aati held talks with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah during his official visit to Kuwait.
According to Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Tammam Khalaf, Abdel-Aati reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Kuwait, emphasizing solidarity at all levels—leadership, government, and people—during this critical period.
He condemned the recent attacks targeting Kuwait’s security and stability, including the storming of the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra, stressing Egypt’s firm rejection of any violations of Kuwaiti sovereignty or threats to Gulf security.
The ministers also discussed regional developments following the U.S.–Iran two-week ceasefire announcement. Abdel-Aati highlighted the importance of leveraging this positive step to achieve de-escalation, open space for negotiations, and pursue diplomatic solutions to end the conflict.
