The Egyptian armed forces announced on Thursday that they have succeeded in eliminating 13 terrorists in central and northern Sinai.
The armed forces spokesperson pointed out in a statement that the confrontations with the militants resulted in the killing and wounding of 9 soldiers of the armed forces.
He added, "To complement the efforts of the armed forces to eliminate terrorist elements in central and northern Sinai, the anti-terrorist forces managed to seize 15 automatic rifles, quantities of ammunition of various calibres, and 20 automatic rifles."
He indicated that it also seized a number of motorcycles used by armed elements in carrying out their terrorist attacks, as well as a number of mobile phones, field binoculars and sums of money in various currencies.
