EGX Records Collective Gains by End of Trading ... Market Cap Rises EGP 44 Billion

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) indices ended Tuesday's trading with a strong rise in market gains, recording about EGP 44 billion.

The main stock index "EGX30" rose by 2.62% to close at 26,938 points.

The "EGX70" index for small and medium-sized stocks rose by about 1.27% to 6299 points. While the broader "EGX100" rose by 1.66% to close at 8,955 points.

The trading value amounted to EGP 6.45 billion, and the number of shares traded reached 204 shares, of which 108 shares rose, 53 shares declined, and 43 remained unchanged.

The market cap of registered shares amounted to about EGP 44 billion, closing at the level of EGP 1,880 trillion, compared to EGP 1,836 trillion, the previous closing level.

Egyptian and Arab investors' transactions tended towards selling with a net value of EGP 362.33 million and EGP 32.88 million, respectively, compared to net buying for foreign investors worth EGP 395.22 million.

The stocks with the highest increase were led by Arab Ceramics - Ceramica Remas, with 20%, which closed at EGP 1,164, followed by Sinai Cement, which also rose with 20%, closing at EGP 14,52, and Egypt Aluminum with 19.99% to closing at EGP 84,20.

Moreover, the shares of Pyramisa Hotels rose by 18.52% to close at EGP 114,96, then Talaat Mostafa Holding Group rose by 11.77% to EGP 28,30.
