EGX Gains EGP 17.7 Bln in 2nd Week of 2021

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange "EGX 30" increased by 4.58% to close at 11453.43 points, in the second week of 2021. The index of small and medium stocks "EGX 70" increased by 4.74% to close at 2254.63 points. EGX 100 recorded a 4.08% increase, closing at 3252.8 points. EGX 30 index increased by 3.38%, closing at 13886.97 points.

The Nile Stock Exchange index increased by 0.70% to close at 1062.28 points.

The market capital of the Egyptian Stock Exchange increased by about EGP 17.7 billion during the sessions of the week ended, to close at the level of 677.8 billion, with a growth rate of 2.7%. The market capital of the main index rose from EGP 321.6 billion to EGP 333.7 billion, a growth rate of 3.8%. The capital increased for the index of small and medium shares from EGP 215.5 billion to EGP 220.4 billion, a growth rate of 2.3%.

The capital of the broader index also increased from EGP 537.1 billion to EGP 554.1 billion, a growth rate of 3.2%. The market capital of the Nile Stock Exchange rose from one billion pounds to EGP 1.01 billion.
