The chairman of the normalization committee in charge of the Egyptian FA (EFA), Ahmed Megahed, announced on Sunday Pyramids' players will be ruled out of the upcoming FIFA Arab Cup.
The FIFA Arab Cup is set to take place in Qatar between the 30th of November and the 18th of December of this year.
22 Arab national teams will take part in the tournament form Africa and Asia, with three newcomers, namely Comoros, Somalia, and Djibouti.
“The Arab Cup will be a good preparation for the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations and the play-offs of the World Cup qualifiers," he said.
“In the tournament, we will miss the foreign-based players, as well as the Pyramids players,” Megahed noted.
