Education Min. Facilitates International Students’ Application Procedures

The Higher Education Ministry has made available many new means of communication with international students, to facilitate the procedures for applying to study in Egyptian universities and institutes for the new academic year 2020/2021. This falls within the framework of the "Study in Egypt" initiative to provide distinguished services for international students. The student registers on the expatriate web: www.wafeden.gov.eg

and attaches the passport and certificate only, in addition the electronic payment and the sending of student files by express mail to overcome the reasons caused by the Corona pandemic (COVID-19).

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Higher Education Minister, announced that the results of admission would appear within 3 to 6 days from the date of the student’s submission, in addition increasing the rates of foreign students in Egyptian universities. It also includes the establishment departments to care the foreign students in Egyptian universities to provide all aspects of care required for students after admission.

Dr. Rasha Kamal, the Central Administration for International Student Affairs head in the Ministry, explained that the Expatriate Department allocated number 01098257891 to communicate and answer student inquiries

through the WhatsApp in addition hotline number 19064.
