Education Ministry Announces Midterm Exams Schedule

The Egyptian Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday the schedule of the first semester examinations for the first and second secondary grades, scheduled for the period from February 27 to March 11.

The ministry said that only one exam will be held in February for all subjects and attendance will be for one day only. The ministry pointed out only the examinees will attend school on that day.

The ministry added that online examinations will be held at the end of each month from March to May for the first and second secondary grades as an alternative to the second semester exams.

Meantime, Education Minister Tarek Shawky will hold on Thursday a press conference at 6:00 pm to answer all questions and inquiries on the current school year.

It was previously decided that the first semester examinations for the first and second secondary grades would be held electronically at schools for the students, who received tablets, and the rest of the groups were promoted to secured examination according to the attached schedule.
