Education Minister Announces 'Thanaweya Amma' Top Students

Education Minister Dr. Tarek Shawky announced the success rates of the 'Thanaweya Amma' (high school) exams, naming the students who received the highest marks for 2020.

More than 650,000 Egyptian students sat for the final high school exams, known as Thanaweya Amma, nationwide in June amid tightened precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

According to statistics, the percentage of success reached 81.5%, and the number of students who received the highest marks totaled 39; 30 students in public education.

Moreover, Assuit governorate students secured the first four ranks.

The top students' list featured 12 students in the scientific pision, 13 students in the scientific-mathematical pision, and 14 students in the literary pision.
