Travel disruption continued at Edinburgh Airport on Saturday after parts of the terminal were evacuated following a security alert triggered by a suspicious package.
Police deployed a bomb disposal unit and established a security cordon after the item was discovered on Friday evening, forcing the evacuation of sections of the airport and the closure of nearby roads.
Authorities later confirmed the incident was no longer being treated as suspicious, allowing the airport to reopen and resume operations.
However, long queues formed throughout the terminal as passengers faced delays while services gradually returned to normal. Airport officials warned that the disruption could continue to affect travel throughout the day.
