Egypt and Romania held on Saturday a round of political consultations in Bucharest as well as both country announced that the 4th session of the Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation between the two countries is set to be held during the first quarter of 2021.
Meanwhile, both sides discussed ways of developing the bilateral cooperation in energy, natural gas and tourism sectors, and the fields of construction, food industries, communications and information technology as well as the regional and international issues, including developments in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean region, as well as in Africa and the Balkans.

In addition, they discussed means of promoting and increasing tourism flows between the two countries, especially for safe Egyptian destinations in the Red Sea and the South Valley.
On other hand, the meeting was attended by Egyptian Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs Badr Abdel-Ati, and Romanian State Secretary for Global Affairs and Diplomatic Strategies Cornel Feruţă Romania and Egyptian ambassador to Bucharest Salah Abdel-Sadiq.

Moreover, the cooperation between both sides is considered an opportunity to increase the volume of trade exchange between them, granting more access for Egyptian goods to the Romanian market, as well as conducting joint cooperation projects with Egyptian companies.
