ECEI : Egypt Exports of Automotive Components Hit $634.3 Million in 2022

The Export Council for Engineering Industries (ECEI) participated in a workshop introducing the "Automechanika" exhibition in its twentieth edition, to be held in Dubai from October 2 to 4, 2023.

This exhibition brings together manufacturers, importers and buyers from all over the world in the largest after-sales service exhibition in the automotive sector. At the event 60 countries.

The ECEI announced the participation of representatives of 25 Egyptian companies in the workshop.

The workshop was also attended by Dina Sharaf, representative of the Frankfurt Exhibition Authority office in Egypt, representatives of the Association of Automotive Feeding Industries, the Export Council for Chemical Industries, representatives of the Egyptian Authority for Exhibitions and Conventions, and Mohsen Abu Bakr, representing the Egyptian National Bank and a representative of the Exhibitions and Conferences Authority.

Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the ECEI said that the council encourages the management of the exhibition to hold a copy in Egypt, as it is a huge industrial and commercial market.

Mai Helmy added, during her speech at the workshop, that the auto components sector is the third largest exporting engineering sector, achieving $643.3 million in 2022, compared to $561.4 million in 2021, with a growth rate of 14.6%, noting that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are among the most important markets for importing auto components from Egypt.
