The famous Jumanji actor Dwayne Johnson announced the end of the filming process of his newest movie “Red Notice” a few hours ago on his official Instagram account @therock.
Johnson posted a picture of himself with the “Red Notice” writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber with the caption ‘That’s an official wrap on RED NOTICE.
Thank you to my writer/director @rawsonthurber for being the quiet force behind this film.’
It is noteworthy that the “Red Notice” movie was a challenging project not just for Johnson but for everyone working on it too. Especially, since it is the biggest pitch sale in all of Hollywood’s history. Which is why Universal Pictures pulled out of the project after disagreeing on the proposed budget leaving Netflix to agree and keep the distribution rights to the movie.
The movie was initially set to be released on November 13th, 2020 but due to the COVID-19 lockdown it was rescheduled to 2021, though the specific date is yet to be announced.
