Duraid Lahaam's Death Rumors Denied

A few hours ago, the head of the Damascus office of the Syrian Artists Association denied all rumors about veteran Syrian artist Duraid Lahaam's death.

The statement expressed, “Lahham is fine, all spread news on unauthorized Facebook pages is fake.” Also, the statement added that the Artists Association is not responsible for any fake news issued by any platform except them.

In the same context, Director Basem Al Salkah posted a photo of Lahaam and several artists during shooting his new series, "Aala Qaid Al Hob."

Born in 1934, Lahham is one of the most celebrated and oldest Syrian actors. He wrote, directed, and performed dozens of best recognized Syrian films and series in the history of the Middle East.

His most known works include: “Al Abaa’ Al Sighar” (Young Fathers), “Celina,” “Ana Aa’ntar” (I am Aantar).

His latest work was aired in April 2020 and it is called “Sharre’ Chicago” (Chicago Street).
