On Saturday, British pop star Dua Lipa joined the popular hashtag (#SaveSheikhJarrah) as she highlighted the recent Palestinian evacuation operation taking place in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood.

In this regard, the young renowned singer took to her Instagram stories to share a message of support for the Palestine families in the 'Sheikh Jarrah' neighborhood, which has been home to 28 Palestinian refugee families who lost their homes in 1948.

In the same context, millions of social media users from around the world have uploaded and shared videos and images about the Israeli attacks, using the hashtag #SaveSheikhJarrah

Lately, Israeli forces have attacked sit-ins staged by residents of Sheikh Jarrah to support the Palestinian families under threat of forced displacement.

Lipa’s Kosovar-Albanian parents fled the conflict in the Balkans in 1992. Similarly, many Palestinians also fled a war-torn region and built a life for themselves in a new place.

It's worth mentioning that lipa is a receptionist of numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards, one MTV Video Music Award, and an American Music Award.
