Dr. Michael Jansch, the founder of Law Faculty at the German University in Cairo (GUC), said that German universities are studying the methodology and the way of reasoning as well as analysis about what is in the German legal community for law students at different niversities.
Janch pointed out that German universities focus on scientific research independently and full communication with the academic supervisor to obtain the legal opinion after students rely on themselves to finish their research.
During the fourth meeting of the Advisory Council of the Law Faculty at the GUC at Berlin, Jansch explained that students learn how to enter the library and use the various databases.
He explained the teaching of law in German universities, stressing that this study includes continuous training in communication skills and students' ability to talk to the public and deal with different situations.
Noteworthy, the 4th session of the Advisory Council of the Law Faculty and Legal Studies at the German University in Cairo was held at the University's headquarters in Germany.
The Advisory Council includes great human rights organizations from Egypt and Germany.
The German side includes 13 human rights personalities from the Federal Republic of Germany, most notably the founding dean of the faculty, as well as Annette Eisenhart, a judge in Berlin, and Dr. Ulrich Bates, a lawyer and legal expert at the Berlin University, Stefan Kaufmann, the Constitutional Court president, Wamya Alwan, Professor of Law at the Heidelberg university and Oliver Flage, a judge in Hamburg.
The Egyptian dignitaries with legal fingerprints include Dr. Mufid Shehab, former Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Legal Affairs and former parliaments, Dr. Ahmed Gamal El-Din, former Minister of Education and Professor of Law, Dr. Abd El-Meguid Mahmoud, former Attorney General, Counselor Zakaria Abd El Aziz Assistant Minister of Justice, Dr. Salim, the Vice President of the Constitutional Court, and Dr. Shawky El Sayed, a lawyer and legal expert.
