Dr. Hoda El Maraghy: Egyptian Professor Receives “Order of Canada”

Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad Nabila Makram announced that Egyptian Professor Dr. Hoda El Maraghy was awarded “the Order of Canada” by the Governor General of Canada for her contributions in the field of manufacturing and mechanical engineering.

"Hoda Al-Maraghy is the first female dean of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, she received the" Ontario "medal for her scientific efforts in the field of engineering,” the Minister of Immigration said on twitter.

“She have not forgotten her country and participated in in “Egypt can” conferences, she had the honor to meet the president, she visited El Galala city with us, she and her husband, Dr. Wagih El Maraghy, worked on transfering their experience to Egypt."

“Dr. Wagih is a Professor and the Director of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) Centre at the University of Windsor and a member of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board, he also received the Medal of Honor “PEO 2020,” Makram said.

“Congratulations to Dr. Hoda and Dr. Wagih and congratulations to Egypt.”
