The city of Chicago recently hosted a major cultural event as renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass delivered a public lecture titled “Secrets of Ancient Egyptian Civilization.”

The event attracted a large audience of history and archaeology enthusiasts from various nationalities.

During his lecture, Dr. Hawass discussed his latest archaeological discoveries in the Saqqara and Luxor regions, emphasizing that these ancient sites still conceal many secrets which Egyptian missions are actively working to uncover.

He highlighted that the recent discoveries further enhance our understanding of Pharaonic Egypt and demonstrate the advanced nature of the ancient Egyptian civilization in fields such as architecture, medicine, astronomy, engineering, and more.

Following the lecture, Dr. Hawass held a book signing session where he autographed four of his popular titles: Ramses II, Tutankhamun, Giza and the Pyramids, as well as Secrets of Ancient Egypt.

The book signing drew significant attention from attendees who were eager to obtain signed copies and take commemorative photos with the distinguished scholar.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Hawass stressed that Egypt is a safe country and encouraged the audience to visit and explore its archaeological treasures firsthand.

He noted that cultural tourism in Egypt continues to grow steadily, supported by national efforts to preserve antiquities and promote tourism.

The lecture is part of a wider cultural tour Dr. Hawass is conducting across several American cities to promote Egyptian civilization and strengthen cultural ties between Egypt and United States (US).
