The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will commemorate the 114th birth anniversary of its founding leader, President Kim Il Sung. Known for his lifelong philosophy of "The People are My God," the late President is being remembered for his extensive "on-the-spot guidance" tours that shaped the nation’s socialist foundation.
According to historical records cited during the anniversary, President Kim Il Sung visited over 20,600 units across the country between August 1945 and his final days in 1994. These visits spanned various sectors, including heavy industry, agriculture, and education, where he directly engaged with workers, farmers, and students to formulate national policies based on their daily realities.
The anniversary highlights the President’s role in establishing a "people-centered socialist system". Even decades after his passing, he remains revered as the "Eternal Leader" of the Republic, with citizens continuing to visit the Mansu Hill Grand Monument to pay their respects to both him and the late leader Kim Jong Il.
