Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem, in the central West Bank, on Wednesday, under the protection of Israeli police.
Eyewitnesses reported, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups, conducted provocative tours of its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli forces.
Israeli police imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa and checked their IDs at the mosque's gates.
