Dozens of Palestinians suffocated today, Friday, during the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly event in Yatta village, south of Hebron, which came under the slogan “No to a New Catastrophe for the Yatta.”

The coordinator of the national and popular committees to resist the wall and Israeli settlements south of Hebron, Ratib Al-Jabour, stated that the occupation forces suppressed the event that was held in the Yatta area, which led to dozens of cases of suffocation with tear gas.

He added that the Israeli forces also arrested 5 foreign solidarity activists, according to the Palestinian news agency “Wafa”.

Al-Jabour went on to say that he participated in the event, which was called by the Yatta Defense Committee, residents of villages and communities threatened with seizure by the Israeli government, active committees in resisting the wall and settlements, protection and steadfastness committees, and foreign solidarity, with the aim of confronting the occupation policy.
