100 African young people from 29 countries meet in the frame work of 'African Youth Leadership Presidential Program". It is one of the recommendations of World Youth Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2018.

This program, which is organized by the National Academy of Training, free of charge, comes in line with the importance Egypt places for Africa within its chairman ship for the African Union 2019.

From Ghana, Aisha Abu-Suleiman, 23, said that she learned of the Presidential program through the Internet, after receiving a message via email: "That's why I decided to try to join the program."

Aisha, who has experience in the field of engineering safety, said that she had to apply online and fill in an application.

She explained that the registration process was not so easy for her as a Ghanaian, but a Skype interview was conducted and she was eventually selected among 100 out of 250 applicants.

On her part, Shumirai Shoko, 23, from Zimbabwe, said that she participated in the 2018 World Youth Forum, and earlier this year, she received an email from them inviting her to register at the African Youth Leadership Presidential Program.

"I logged into the site and found it interesting, and so I learn about the program and was able to participate in it," she added.

Unlike Aisha, Shoko did not encounter any problems at completing the registration process: "My application process was interesting, and specifically that I had to write about my favourite books and the leaders that I admire, and everything about myself," she said.

Shoko did not wait much until she gets an initial acceptance. "After about two weeks of applying I was accepted and this was in April and this was fairly early," she added.

She said: "My trip to Egypt was very interesting and I am fairly happy to have the opportunity to meet with other leaders from South Africa, Mozambique and others. I was the fourth person from Zimbabwe. The flight was very enjoyable to Egypt and I really enjoyed it. "

On another hand, Al amin, 25, from Nigeria said, "I first learned about this program through the 2018 World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh. I received an email inviting me to apply at the new program.. I immediately applied for this program," he said.

Al amin, a graduate of mechanical engineering, said, "I learned at the National Academy of Training a lot of things and expanded my knowledge as I already practice all leadership skills, emotional intelligence, social intelligence and many things that I learn."
