Dorra Zarrouk Unveils Collab With Designer Mohanad Kojak

Tunisian actress, Dorra Zarrouk is furthering her place within the fashion industry with "Romantique".

Zarrouk took to Instagram to share the behind-the-scenes of her collaboration with Egyptian designer, Mohanad Kojak.

The duo is working on a fall-winter 2021 ready-to-wear collection, which will be her first debut in the world of fashion.

“Romantic, is the name of my first ready to wear collection, which is the fruit of a collaboration between me and the talented Egyptian designer, Kojak. We have been inspired by the classic elegancy that I love, the femininity and tenderness of the lace with a modern and rebellious side using leather, with love for all women from all times. I present you, Romantique.” Zarrouk stated.

Zarrouk is set to star in a new film entitled “The Priest” with Hani Salama, and Mohamed Mamdouh.

She held work sessions with the producer and filmmakers to hash out a final plan for the start of shooting, which will take place next month amid prevention measures for Coronavirus outbreak.

The filmmakers postponed the production of the movie, which was slated to begin shooting immediately after Ramadan to an unspecified date, due to the outbreak. It received a new date shooting, which was scheduled to resume shooting after Eid al-Fitr holidays, however, it was postponed once again.

The movie is written by Mohamed Nayer, and directed by Othman Abo Labn.

It is worth mentioning that Zarrouk, born on January 13, 1980, has earned a degree in political science in Tunis.

She made her way into the acting industry by joining a theater group, where her first appearance was in play “Magnoun” (Crazy), directed by Tawfiq Al Gibally, which was followed by several roles at the Tunisian cinema.

Zarrouk also worked in many international projects such as “Collosseum” which was directed by the English director Telman Reem in 2003, where she portrayed as the Emperor’s consort.

She also took part in another foreign work titled “Louisa’s Journey” which was directed by French director Patrick Foulsan in 2005, where she portrayed the role of a woman named “A’isha” in that work.

The 40-year-old actress began participating in Egyptian cinematic works since 2007.

Zarrouk is best known for her roles in 2017 film “Tisbah ala Khair”, in 2016 film “Mawlana”, and 2016 film “Kedbet Kol Youm”.

She is also known for her roles in television series “El Share’A Elly Warana”, “Naseeby We Esmetak”, “Baad Al Bedaya”, “Zarf Esswed”, “Segn El Nessa”, “Zay El Ward”, “Al Rayan”, and “Al Aar”.

Zarrouk’s latest artistic work is historical Syrian TV series “Al Haramlek” season 2, and film “A Day and a Night”.
