More than 50 civilians were killed in The Donetsk People's Republic during a month of hostilities in the region.

"55 civilians were killed during the 31 days prior to the escalation by the Ukrainian armed formations, and 318 others were injured of varying severity," the republic's mission to the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring center said in a statement.

The statement mentioned that 1,244 shooting incidents, including 1,083 using heavy weapons, were monitored during the mentioned period.

The forces of Donetsk and Luhansk are participating in the operation along with the Russian army, while territories of the two republics are still being bombarded by the Ukrainian army and battalions formed of ultra-nationalities.
