Dollar Rises Against Pound, Exceeds EGP 16 Barrier

The dollar exchange rate witnessed an increase against the Egyptian pound  in the official dealings of banks on Wednesday compared to yesterday's prices.

The exchange rate at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) recorded EGP 15.92 to buy, and EGP 16.02 to sell, compared to EGP 15.87 for purchase, and EGP 15.97 for sale yesterday.

The price of the dollar rose in both the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr 6 piasters, as it recorded EGP 15.91 to buy and EGP 16.01  to sell.

The exchange rate increased by about 12 piastres at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the United Bank, the Arab African International Bank (AAIB), the National Bank of Kuwait, the HSBC, the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), Al Baraka Bank and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), recording EGP 15.93 to buy and EGP 16.03 to sell.

Moreover, The exchange rate of the greenback in Alexandria Bank recorded EGP 15.92 for purchase and EGP 16.02 for sale, and EGP 15.91 to buy, EGP 16.01 to sell at Credit Agricole.
