Dollar Drops in Major Egyptian Banks

The price of the Egyptian pound rose against the US dollar on Thursday in major banks, reaching its highest level in a month.

The pound rose against the dollar in The National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, recording EGP 15.58 to buy and EGP 15.68 to sell.

The pound also rose in the National Bank of Kuwait, Bank Audi and the United Bank to EGP 15.58 pounds for purchase and EGP 15.68 to sell.

The dollar also retreated against the pound in the Commercial International Bank (CIB) to record EGP 15.57 to buy and EGP 15.67 to sell. While the dollar recorded the lowest price in the Egyptian Gulf Bank at EGP 15.56 for purchase and EGP 15.66 to sell.

The exchange rate of the pound against the dollar in the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) at the end of yesterday's transactions registered EGP 15.57 for buying and EGP 15.67 for sale, the lowest level in a month.
