Doctors Without Borders (in French Médecins Sans Frontières ) expressed its shock following the killing of two of its doctors and a third doctor from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, following the Israeli air attack on Al Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
The international organization noted that more than 200 patients are still in the hospital, calling for their immediate evacuation to other hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip.
The statement of the organization went on to say that it shared information about the hospital, one of the last hospitals still active in the Gaza Strip and that it also exchanged geographic coordinates with Israel the day before Monday.
It considered that attacks on medical facilities constitute a “serious violation of international humanitarian law,” adding that such attacks have become “systematic” in recent weeks.
