Discover Most Important Tourist Destinations in Hurghada

There are plenty of tourist destinations places in Hurghada during winter holidays. Egypt, especially Hurghada is home to the most sunny winter destinations in the world.

*Jiftun island

Jiftun island is the 1st natural reserve in the Red Sea. It is one of the most important natural homes for the gull birds; it contains 50% of the seagulls in the world, in addition to other types of birds and reptiles.

Jiftun includes 14 most beautiful ping sites in Hurghada, as well as a variety of natural resources such as beautiful sand and beaches. Due to its great tourist importance, the island is one of the Red Sea economy pillars and has high economic values.

* Abu Monqar

Abu Monqar Island is named after its eastern side, which is shaped like sand tongue; it resembles a bird’s beak to a large extent.  The island is characterized by large numbers of mangrove trees scattered on sandy beaches as well as numbers of dolphins, and many types of migratory birds, such as oyster and heron bird.

* Fannaydar area

The Fannaydar area is one of the most beautiful natural areas in Hurghada. The area is surrounded by a very thin coral reef, which makes the fish always deep. The fish in this area are beautiful and include shark, tube fish, sea scorpion and whale shark that is also associated with a range of long coral reefs.

* Sand Museum

Sand Museum is considered as one of the most important museums in the world. It has wonderful sand sculptures of the most famous figures in ancient and modern times.  It was decorated by the most famous international artists from different nationalities from Arab and European countries. It contains about 42 statues of world and Egyptian personalities. Some modern cartoon characters such as Spiderman and Batman were also carved.

It has some restaurants, children’s clubs and some restrooms, so tourists do not get tired, but feel comfortable.

*Gubal Strait

Gubal Strait connects the Suez Gulf to the Red Sea; it is home to some of the best reef and wreck ping in the world as it has claimed more ships than any other section of Red Sea. The best way to fully appreciate the Gubal Strait is to get a live aboard from Hurghada and spend a few days exploring the area with a guide who knows the best spots.

There are almost 30 pe sites in the Strait, the most popular being the SS Thistlegorm which is only available to advanced pers due to the depth and strong currents. It’s one of the best wreck pes in the world and at 120 metres in length, visitors will need two pes to fully appreciate its wonders.
