Egyptian actress Dina El Sherbiny has joined the cast of actor Amr Youssef’s new film “El Tahweeda” (the Lullaby).
She will set to play the female lead in the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in September.
The director of the film Tarek Al Eryan confirmed in a press statement that El Sherbiny was the first actress nominated to be the lead actress in front of Youssef.
“El Tahweeda” will be Youssef’s first take on a horror movie.

The coronavirus outbreak had suspended the productions for movies that were slated for release during Eid Al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha movies marathon during the last period due to the necessary measures taken to stem the spread of the virus.
Moreover, Egypt’s Chamber of Film Industry had closed the cinemas as part of the preventive measures against coronavirus.
The outbreak had caused many productions to face an uncertain future, on top of those movies is Karim Abdel Aziz’s “Some Don’t Go to the Authorized Twice”.
The movie’s producer Wael Abdullah has raised doubts about the existence of the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon this year.
He unveiled a poster from the movie, which featured actor Bayoumi Fouad, and captioned: “The truth is I could not found someone better to put during the curfew “Some Don’t Go to the Ma’zoun Twice”… Soon, God willing .. But when .. Only God knows.”
“Some Don’t Go to the Ma’zoun Twice” also stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Maged El Kedwany, and others.
It is written by Ayman Wattar and directed by Ahmed El Gendy.

The 35-year-old actress participated in Ramadan with TV series “Leabah El Nesian” (Oblivion Game), which was her second leading role in a drama series.
The series also stars Ragaa Al-Giddawy, Ali Qasem, Ahmed Dawood, Mahmoud Qabeil, Injy El Mokkaddem, and others.
“Leabah El Nesian” directed by Hany Khalifa, who has quit from directing the series after filming 40% of the events. He was followed by director Ahmed Shafiq, who had started filming the work.
Moreover, its creators assigned the filming of the second unit to the director Tamer Ashry.
“Leabah El Nesian” is taken from an Italian text, which is adapted by scriptwriter Tamer Habib.
It revolves around a woman whose life turns upside down after losing her memory as she struggles to live her new life as well as discover her past.
El Sherbeny participated last Ramadan with TV series “Zi El Shams” (Like the sun), which was a huge success following its premiere.
On May 31, the 35-year-old actress reassured fans in an interview with “men yakon” broadcast on MBC 1 about her current health condition after she came in contact with the veteran actress – who tested positive for the virus on May 23 – on a shooting location.
“I am in good health. I was more afraid for those around me,” El Sherbiny said.
She added: “I conducted tests, which came back negative. I also isolated myself at home in line with the preventive actions to prevent the spread as well as implemented all the tips of the Ministry of Health.”

It is worth mentioning that El Sherbiny, born on March 17, 1985, started her career as a TV host for the program “Shababeek” on Dream satellite channel.
However, her growing admiration for acting made her join the Marwa Gebril acting school, where she studied for a year.
She then auditioned for the TV show “Ard Khas” (Special Screening), where she was chosen to play her real-life character.
After that, she went on to star in TV series like “Moga Harra” (Heat Wave), “Taht el Ard” (Underground) and films like Al Hafla (The Party) and “Sameer Abu Elneel.”
The actress is known for her roles in 2011’s TV hit series “Al Moatn X”, in 2012’s TV hit series “Hekayat Banat”, in 2016’s hit TV series “Grand Hotel”, in 2017’s TV hit series “Asham Ebles”, in 2018’s TV series “Malika”, and in 2019’s TV series “Zi El Shams”.
