"World Academy of Design" to Organize Int'al Jewelry Design Competition "Wada Awards"

The World Academy of Design announced that it will launch its first edition of the international jewelry design competition "Wada Awards".

In a statement issued on Sunday, the World Academy of Design revealed the theme of this year's edition is "Sunrise", noting that it will be the main source of inspiration for the submitted works.

Tarun Jain, Founder and Managing Director of the World Academy of Design, said that the Wada Awards provides a great opportunity to discover talented jewelry designers, who have a passion for jewelry but do not get a chance to explore or develop their talent.

In the same connection, he explained: "Through the competition, The Academy is trying to unify efforts and combine international expertise and competencies to build the capabilities of designers, noting that this new competition will serve as a platform for designers around the world in the coming years.

The competition jury featured a group of prominent international designers and manufacturers like international jewelry designer Evan Kaplan, one of the world's most important gem experts, and Mahyar Berhangu, CEO of Uni Diamonds, Tatajid Abdullah, Executive Vice President of UAE Jewelry Company, famous Italian jewelry designer Paola De Luca, French jewelry and renowned fashion journalist Caterina Perez.
