Tunisian actor, Dhafer L'Abidine will make his directorial debut with film "Ghodwa", which he will also star, produce and co-write.

He is set to produce the production through his company Double A, in collaboration with Nomadis Images and MAD Solutions.

'I always wanted to direct, but I wanted to find the right story. "Ghodwa" is a story that is very close to my heart. It is a Tunisian story with its social and human aspects. I think a lot of people will interact with it." he said at a press conference held in Tunisia on Saturday.

L'Abidine will co-write the script with the Egyptian filmmaker Ahmed Amer.

The plot revolves around Habib and his son Ahmed, who after years of living apart, are connected once more due to Habib’s illness.

"Ghodwa" also stars Najla Ben Abdallah, Bahri Rahali, Ghanem Zrelli, Rabeb Srairi Ahmed Berrhouma and others.

L'Abidine was seen recently in Netflix’s French drama "The Eddy" and in film "Bloodline".
