Dhafer L'Abidine Star of "The Masked Singer" First Episode

The first episode of “The Masked Singer: Who are you”, a new entertainment show, screened Wednesday on "mbc1" TV channel, featuring Tunisian actor Dhafer L'Abidine as the face behind the mask.

The idea revolves around guessing the name of the star disguised, this task is left for the panelists who are given various clues alluding to the celebrities’ identities to guess who they could be after each performs. The audience can also participate from their homes.

Six stars appeared in the episode, who the panelists Qusai Khouli, Cyrine Abdelnour, Hassan El-Raddad, and Mouhnned al-Hamdi, tried to figure out who is the artist hidden under the mask.

The episode began with the participant of a masked lion, who the investigators were pided on their identity, between Mohamed Ramadan, Ayman AlKaysouni, and Amr Youssef.

It also featured the appearance of a masked cobra, which the investigators guest to be Hussain Al Jassmi, and Hamada Helal, who performed on the stage the song "Ana el Shaky".

Among the figures disguised was Nefertiti, peacock, eagle, the monster, and the wolf.

At the end of the episode, and after the audience voted and the owner of the "lion" mask left the stage, he unveiled his identity to be L'Abidine, amidst the shock and astonishment of the investigators and the audience.

Arab stars from different generations and fields are set to participate in the show. The show audience participates from home the team of investigators in revealing the  the identity of the stars, by voting and excluding one of the participants to reveal his identity, at the end of each episode of the show, which is hosted by Annabella Hilal.

It is based on the international music game show franchise of the same name, which originated from the South Korean program, “King of Mask Singer”.
