The Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Decent Life Foundation announced Monday the launching of the campaign entitled “By awareness, Egypt is changing for the better."
The campaign kicked off in Beni Suef governorate, as part of the first phase, which includes four governorates: Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut and Sohag, in partnership between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Foundation for a Decent Life.
Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine Al-Kabbage, Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, a Decent Life Foundation's delegation, members of the House of Representatives, and the Senate, and a delegation from Coordination's Committee of Party's Youth Leaders and Politicians(CPYP) attended the launching ceremony.
The campaign targets all villages and farms planned for development in the presidential initiative "A Decent Life". It will also focus on spreading awareness and stimulating services on four basic issues that are a top priority at the present time, including population increase, early marriage, inbreeding, early childhood development in nurseries under four years of age, and women empowerment.
The campaign organizers will learn about the main reasons for reluctance to apply for some services, such as using a pregnancy planning method, obtaining a job opportunity, or enrolling children in nurseries.
The awareness messages will reach more than 15,000 families in each town, including a large number of women of childbearing age, especially those aged 18 to 45 years.
The Minister of Social Solidarity affirmed her happiness at launching a series of awareness campaigns from Lower Egypt, in partnership with the “Decent Life” Foundation, the “Tawasul” Association and the "Shepherd of Egypt” Oragnization, stressing the power of civil society in communicating with society and influencing it positively.
Furthermore, the minister thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his keenness to develop society and raise the Egyptian citizen's awareness, affirming that the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" is the largest initiative in the world with a cost of LE 800 billion.
