The Stone of Destiny started a long journey for the first time in more than 25 years due to the Coronation of King Charles III.
The stone departed from Edinburgh Castle, where it was preserved, to Westminster Abbey.
A special ceremony for the stone's journey was held as a procession led by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, the monarch's representative in Scotland.
The service also was attended by First Minister Humza Yousaf as Keeper of the Great Seal of Scotland.
Yousaf said after the service: "It was a very significant, historical moment. I'm delighted to be a part of it."
The Coronation of King Charles III will take place on May 6.
