Denmark has pledged to supply Ukraine with new drones and provide €6 billion in financial assistance through the European Peace Facility, reinforcing its long-term military support for Kyiv.
The commitment was agreed during talks between Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and his Danish counterpart, Troels Lund Poulsen.
The announcement follows a meeting on June 29 between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Danish defence minister, during which both sides agreed to finalise a bilateral drone agreement as quickly as possible.
Poulsen reaffirmed that Denmark's new government would continue its strong support for Ukraine and its people. The two countries also discussed the contents of Denmark's upcoming 30th military aid package for Kyiv.
The latest pledge comes despite previous opposition from Hungary and Poland to using funds from the European Peace Facility to finance assistance for Ukraine.
