Danish Foreign Minister (FM) Lars Lokke Rasmussen stated on Saturday that international law must be respected, following a U.S. military strike on Venezuela and the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro.
Rasmussen wrote on the social media platform X: "A sudden development in Venezuela...we are following it closely. There must be a return to the path leading to de-escalation and dialogue."
Earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been arrested and airlifted out of the country, accompanied by his wife.
He added that the United States carried out a "large-scale strike" against Venezuela in the early hours of this morning.
